Climbing with RSAC

Regular climb and boulder evenings

Monday 19:15 @ Klimmuur Rotterdam
Thursday 18:30 @ Monk Rotterdam

Climbing at Klimmuur Rotterdam

Our regular climbing location is Klimmuur Rotterdam. Every Monday at 19:15 we meet there to climb together. It’s great fun if you’d like to join!

To climb at Klimmuur you need a top-rope certificate which you can obtain at the gym by following the toprope course. Once you’ve completed this course and want to join us, just send an email to secretaris@rsac.alpenclub.nl. Haven't taken a course yet? No problem, join our weekly bouldering session at Monk on Thursday.

Through the RSAC you can get a Klimmuur punch card for €137. Get it by asking for an RSAC punch card at the Klimmuur.

Toprope course

As an RSAC member you get 50% discount on the toprope course at Klimmuur: only €62.50. In 4 lessons you’ll learn how to climb independently and safely.

How does climbing with RSAC work?

As a member, you can climb for free or at very low cost during our regular climbing and bouldering sessions.

  • There are an x amount of free spots available each evening (Monday and Thursday)

  • Are there more participants than the x amount of free spots, the costs of the extra tickets will be shared equally among everyone present.

This is how you can climb and boulder for free or for a small price.

Free spots system:

The free spots system can be used by members with a top-rope certificate.

No worries, new members without a toprope-certificate can use a trial period for the duration of the semester in which they became a member. During this period you can use the free spots without needing a top-rope certificate.

If you obtain a top-rope certificate during your trial period, you can also make use of the free spots after your trial period.

Bouldering at Monk Rotterdam

On Thursday evening 18:30 you can find us at Monk Rotterdam. Everybody is welcome to join in — no experience needed!

What is bouldering?

Bouldering is climbing at low height, with thick mats for safety instead of ropes. It’s often like solving a puzzle: sometimes you need a creative or acrobatic move to reach the top. You can go bouldering alone, but solving the problems together as a group is even more fun.

Accessible for everyone

For bouldering you don’t need a course. Just wear comfortable sports clothes and rent climbing shoes at the gym if you don’t have your own yet.
