Multi pitch course 2025
In September 2025, the RSAC will organise a multi pitch climbing course. This course will teach you how to safely climb routes outside of multiple rope lengths. In the following document provided by the NKBV you can find an overview of the skills you will acquire:

Can I participate in this course?
To participate in this course you need to fulfil the following requirements:
- Be an RSAC member
- Have a certificate for outdoor climbing (OV single pitch)
- Be able to attend all climbing lessons and weekends (see dates below)
Before the start of the course you also need to:
- Be a member of the NKBV (Dutch Mountain Sport Association)
- Have purchased the NKBV 2025 climbing pass (€15)
- Have an insurance which covers outdoor climbing (NKBV offers an insurance for €41.95)
Course dates
The course will consist of a theory evening, 2 days at Monte Cervino, and 2 climbing weekends in Belgium:
- 19th September 18.30-21.30
- 20th September 12.00-17.00
- 27-28 September
- 11th Oktober 12.00-17.00
- 25-26 Oktober
The costs for the course is estimated to be €185. This includes:
- 2x entrance to Monte Cervino
- The cost of both weekends
- Administration costs for the exam
- Instructor fee
- Equipment fee
Not included is:
- NKBV Membership
- Annual NKBV climbing pass
- Insurance which covers outdoor climbing
You will also need to acquire the following equipment:
- Climbing Shoes
- Climbing Harness
- Climbing Helmet
- 1x nylon sling 120 cm or a Personal anchor system (Petzl Connect Adjust, Petzl Dual Connect Adjust, Camp Swing or Beal Dynaconnexxion)
- 1x thin sling 120 cm (not the same as the previous sling!)
- 6x screwgate carabiners of which at least 3 are HMS
- 5mm prusik rope with the following lengths: 1m, 3m, and 5m (pick a different color for each length)
- ATC Guide or other tuber with guide mode

Please do not buy equipment before you have been assigned a place in the course. We might also have discount codes for you.
Please understand that there is only a limited amount of space for this course, herefore there is not a guarantee that you will be able to participate. Sign-up will close on the 20th of August at 23:59 after which you will receive a message whether you will be able to participate in the course.
