To participate in this course you need to fulfil the following requirements:<\/p>\n
\n- Be an RSAC member<\/li>\n
- Have a certificate for outdoor climbing (OV single pitch)<\/li>\n
- Be able to attend all climbing lessons and weekends (see dates below)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Before the start of the course you also need to:<\/p>\n
\n- Be a member of the NKBV<\/a> (Dutch Mountain Sport Association)<\/li>\n
- Have purchased the NKBV 2025 climbing pass<\/a> (\u20ac15)<\/li>\n
- Have an insurance which covers outdoor climbing (NKBV offers an insurance<\/a> for \u20ac41.95)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Course dates<\/strong><\/p>\nThe course will consist of a theory evening, 2 days at Monte Cervino<\/a>, and 2 climbing weekends in Belgium:<\/p>\n\n- 19th September 18.30-21.30<\/li>\n
- 20th September 12.00-17.00<\/li>\n
- 27-28 September<\/li>\n
- 11th Oktober 12.00-17.00<\/li>\n
- 25-26 Oktober<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nCost<\/strong>\n
The costs for the course is estimated to be \u20ac185. This includes:<\/p>\n
\n- 2x entrance to Monte Cervino<\/li>\n
- The cost of both weekends<\/li>\n
- Administration costs for the exam<\/li>\n
- Instructor fee<\/li>\n
- Equipment fee<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Not included is:<\/p>\n
\n- NKBV Membership<\/li>\n
- Annual NKBV climbing pass<\/li>\n
- Insurance which covers outdoor climbing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
You will also need to acquire the following equipment:<\/p>\n
\n- Climbing Shoes<\/li>\n
- Climbing Harness<\/li>\n
- Climbing Helmet<\/li>\n
- 1x nylon sling 120 cm<\/a> or<\/strong> a Personal anchor system (Petzl Connect Adjust<\/a>, Petzl Dual Connect Adjust<\/a>, Camp Swing<\/a> or Beal Dynaconnexxion<\/a>)<\/li>\n
- 1x thin sling 120 cm<\/a> (not the same as the previous sling!)<\/strong><\/li>\n
- 6x screwgate carabiners of which at least 3 are HMS<\/a><\/li>\n
- 5mm prusik rope with the following lengths: 1m, 3m, and 5m<\/a> (pick a different color for each length)<\/li>\n
- ATC Guide or other tuber with guide mode<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
The following equipment is also strongly recommended, but not required:<\/p>\n
\n- 6 quickdraws<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
